A Touch Of Ink

This card is made using the A Touch of Ink Stamp set by Stampin' Up! 

The base of the card is made using Mint Macaron Cardstock. On the front I stamped the leaves in Mint Macaron and used the coordinating stamp to colour them, then using a Blending Brush to apply the Balmy Blue around these to fill in the sky.

I stamped the hummingbird onto the card front then decided that it would look better raised off the surface of the card so stamped another on a seperate piece of cardstock using Shaded Spruce Stamp Pad. I coloured this using the coordinating stamp with the Shaded Spruce then coloured the tail and wings of the stamp in Pacific Point and stamped over these to give it a natural blended look as the Hummingbird does appear naturally. With the stamped and coloured image underneath the hummingbird raised off the surface using Stampin' Dimensionals adds dimension and effect to the Hummingbird. I also stamped and filled in the flowers using Daffodil Delight Stamp Pad and Butterfly using Blushing Bride Stamp Pad on a seperate piece of card and attached these with the Stampin' Dimensionals adding further dimension giving the appearance of making it look quite realistic including placing some of the butterfly's feet onto the flowers. Once the card front was finished I attached the Coastal Cabana ribbon around the front piece fixing it to the back of this piece with Stampin' Seal then mounted it to the cardbase.

The sentiment is stamped in Mint Macaron on a piece of Soft Sea Foam Cardstock and attached to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

I decorated the inside bottom left corner with the same sprig of flowers on the front of the card, leaving plenty of room for writing a greeting in the card. The envelope was also decorated in the same way.
