Let It Ride

This card is made with Stampin' Up!'s Let It Ride Stamp set. The card base is Soft Suede. On the front I have stamped the images of the horses first then used the masking technique over them. This is when you stamp the same images onto another piece of paper or sticky note and cut out the outline and place it over the already stamped image. As the horses mane and tails remain black I did not need to be very accurate with these. After the images are masked I then used a  Sponge Dauber to apply the Balmy Blue sky area and Garden Green and Granny  ink for highlights, then removed the masking to reveal the horses unspoilt. I have then coloured the horses using the Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends.

I have stamped the background trees using the stamp in the set moving it sideways to get the look of multiple trees using Garden Green and Shaded Spruce Stamp Pads, when doing this is does not matter if they overlap as stands of trees often look like this naturally.

Once the front of the card was completed I added the frame selecting a piece of the In Good Taste DSP, raising it from the surface of the card using some Foam Adhesive Strips to give it a picture frame effect. The sentiment stamped in Momento - Tuxedo Black on Crumb Cake Cardstock, placing it inside the edge of the "Picture Frame". On the bottom left corner of the inside of this card I have stamped the small image of the horses as in the background of the front of the card and coloured them the same also.
