Daisy's Using Ornate Garden Suite

This Card is made using Seaside Spray coloured Cardstock as the card base. The white piece attached on the front of the card is embossed using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. On this I used the Blueberry Bushell coloured piece from the Noble Peacock Specialty DSP. I cut this into a frame and placed some fussy cut daisy flowers with coordinating colours on top of the frame to form a garden type scene. Simple but easy as the colours, dies and Embossing folder effects do a lot to make this card look special.

These 2 pictures above are of the same card in different lights to allow those interested in viewing the foil effect of the Cardstock.
(This is the blue foil Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Nobel Peacock Suite from the 2019-2020 Catalogue which is retiring on June 3rd so if you have any enjoy using it up in different ways.  There may be some of this still available from Stampin' Up! for the next 2 days only.)

This card is designed very similar to the card above however I have used different coloured Specialty Designer Series Paper and the card base is Bermuda Bay coloured Card. I have assembled the daisy's in a different formation, as the foil patterns are exposed and highlighted with an intensity of light over the surface allowing all features including the flowers to be appreciated at the same time. The white piece of card behind the Specialty DSP is embossed using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder, unfortunately it does not show in the picture while trying to show the foil designs.

This card is made much the same as the above cards however I used some Old Olive coloured Vellum from the Free as a Bird Suite 2019-2020. The Card base is also Old Olive coloured with a piece of Whisper White embossed using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing folder as a background which can be seen in this photograph adding texture to this layer of the card. The Vellum is attached to the card using dimensionals adding height to this layer. the daisy's and their grass bundles are also attached using dimensionals adding another dimension and layering for a 3D perception of the card while using coordinating colours to add to the effect.

For this card I have rotated the card base so the card is in a Landscape style.
I planned to capture a perceived ornamental picture, of a close-up of some Diasy's, captured in a garden or growing in a field as they do in wherever they are found in nature.
The Vellum froame is made from diecutting using one of the Ornate Frame dies, I then cut out the middle of this piece forming a free standing frame outline. I have cut some foam strips thin enough to mount between the holes in the pattern of the frame to place here to keep the frame mounted floating above the surfaces of the card with the flowers with in the frame also floating of the surface of the card adding dimension and effect.
I chose to use the Pretty Peacock coloured Specialty DSP as I like this colour and thought the pattern to be appropriate however potentiallt reflecting of the expression of a different culture yet matching with its ornate frame.

This is a view of the same card sitting folded flat on the surface of my photo box taken from straight above the card, the card looks a bit different as the light reflects off the cardstock differently. In this angle of this card it is easier to notice the outline of the individual petals and how/where the colours change in the flowers. Also the frame as it uses the white of the foam tape, it promotes dimension as an edge of the frame and outline for the picture also.

I really hope you enjoyed this Blog edition and please share among your friends, if they are interested we can organise an Online party any time that may be convenient.
