I made these cards on some cards and envelopes gifted to me, now old Stampin' Up! products however you could use and cardstock of your choice and place a cold piece on the front and Whisper White Cardstock over it approx 1cm smaller to create the same look or any colour you like, even leave it Gold.
I made the front on a seperate piece of Whisper White Cardstock for simplicity then added it to the card.
For this card I used Stampin' Up!'s Gnome For The Holidays Stamp set. Firstly I stamped the Tree House and the Gnome's onto the card and also onto some sticky notes. I then cut out the sticky note images very accurately to stick over the already stamped images to cover them and decorate around them without ruining the original images. (This is the art of "Masking"). Once I had done this I then created the foreground by carefully adding grass textures using the fine tip end of the brush end of a blender pen and the Garden Green Classic Stampin' Pad. Any green would be fine for your choice a Stampin' Write marker would be ideal for this. Next using a sponge dauber, you could also use one of the new Blending Brushes, I sponged in the colours for the grass and the the path out of the "house". Once I was happy with this I chose a tree stamp set and Stamped some trees around the "Tree-house" to make it appear that it was in the middle of a forest using a couple of different greens, I highlighted the trunks with a marker. I finished off the background using a sponge dauber and Balmy Blue stamp pad to fill in around the trees to represent the sky. Once I was happy with all of this I removed the sticky note masks from the tree-house and gnomes and coloured these in as I chose. Finally finishing up by using the Black Stampin' Emboss powder to create the sentiment and heat set it using the Heat Tool.
On the inside I used the Christmas tree on the top of the female gnome to decorate the diagonal corners top right and bottom left inside and stamped a greeting from the stamp set in the middle of the card.
Leaving plenty of room for a personal message.
